80년대의 Jrock 밴드 'BOOWY'의 보컬이었던
히무로 쿄스케의 'In The Mood'앨범에 AFI의 커버곡이 있다해서
기다리던 끝에 마침내 들을수 있게 됐네요. 일본블로그에서 소식을 접하고
무지 궁금해 했었거든요. 일본음악에 대해선 아는게 많질 않아서,
BOOWY가 호테이 토모야스가 기타리스트로 있었던 밴드라는 정도만 알고 있었죠.
들어보니, 유난히 끝의 발음이 강하군요.^^
게다가 낯선 느낌은 어쩔수 없군요. 그렇다고 나쁘다는건 아니지만......
아 그리고 Pain이란 곡은 Jimmy Eat World의 곡을 커버한 겁니다.

그러고보니 MCR의 Kerrang커버등장 횟수가 다른 밴드보단 많은거 같군요.
인터뷰보다는 순위에서 1등 한 내용이 대부분입니다.
영국에서도 인기가 많은 듯.
Hero of 2006에 2위가 Bob이란게 놀랍네요.사실 MCR내에선 다른 멤버들에 비해
존재감이 덜하다보니.. 아니 레이보다 나은가... ^^
New Band순위는 1위가 Paramore인데, Panic at the disco를 제치다니...
참고로 섹시한 여인네 순위에선 1위가 Evanescense의 Amy Lee네요.
2위가 Paramore의 보컬 Hayley Williams 인데, New Band 순위는 이 여자애 덕분인듯 싶군요.
라디오방송국에서 하는 행사에 공연도 하고 인터뷰도 하고
싸인도 해 주고....
자세히 보면 Davey는 한쪽으로 길게 넘긴 머리를 좀 잘랐다. 뒷 머리는 안 자른거 같은데...
그나저나 라디오 방송에서 주관하는 공연들 보면 겹치는 밴드들도 많은듯.
3방송만 따져서 99x는 Taking Back Sunday도 나왔고,
KROQ는 My Chemical Romance도 나왔다. 91X 경우는 두밴드 다 나왔다.
91X경우 사이트 가면 공연사진도 많긴한데, AFI랑 MCR이 대부분이라, 이 두밴드 보다 적은데다 아무래도 관심이 덜가서 그런가 TBS는 저장 안했다.
요즘 활발히 활동하는 밴드들을 섭외하다보면 겹치고 그런듯.
인기도도 따지겠지만 AFI도 이제 노땅(?) 아니 중견 밴드라 헤드라이너(99x,91x)인 경우가 많긴하다.

이 곡이랑 이곡이 수록된 Elephant앨범으로 화이트 스트라입스라는 밴드를 알게 됐는데,
사실 이곡으로 많이 알려졌을듯. 롤링스톤지에서 펑도 좋게 나오고 개러지락이라면서
어쩌구 저쩌구 했던게 기억난다. 이 복고풍 락음악이 그땐 꽤나 생소하게 들렸는데...
어쨌거나 12일에 했던 라디오 쇼에서 라이브로 AFI가 Seven Nation Army를 커버했길래
유투브에서 퍼왔다. 작년에 공식홈게시판에다가 Davey가 White Stripes공연을 갔다와서
너무 좋다고 그래서 언젠가 커버 할거 같긴했었다.
두번째 동영상은 오디오 슬레이브 2003년도 라이브. 괜찮은데...
세번째는 The White Stripes의 뮤직비디오를 생각난 김에 간만에 퍼옴.
